This art site is for the artistic purpose of presenting my art: painting, drawing, printmaking, etching, digital art, multimedia art works made by an artist that knows that all art is an abstraction.  It is irrelevant if the art is more or less 'recognizable'.  It is art by a 21st Century female artist who values intelligence, integrity, creativity, 'out of the box' thinking and who refuses to be pushed into a peg by the lemming type thinking of many 20th Century artists.  An artist who sees art as universal and not fragmented into bits of history.  An artist who values art from the primitive past; art from the old Masters; art from the Impressionists; art form the 'Abstract' Expressionists, etc., etc.  I was born in New York City, my father a Cuban of Spaniard descent, my mother Puerto Rican.  My father devoted his early life to the Cuban Revolution for the purpose of Democracy.  The fate of the Cuban Revolution influenced my art and the destructive forces it had on my family and the loss of some of my Innocence in my early childhood.  I am an artist whose art, my paintings, digital art, drawings, printmaking, are tied together spiritually by the losses in my childhood, and my artistic struggle against the isolation that I endured as a human and as an artist.  I am an artist whose paintings, drawings, all of my art, reflect a need to be a healer.  An artist healer of the self and of others.  If you are reading this statement it means that you are printing my art work, or that you are reading my HTML.....I have designed it to be seen only in this context.....for someone who has gone one step 'deeper' in a symbolic sense....It is a very small attempt to make the internet more personal....Enjoy my art......that is one of the reasons I make it..
